Food lies at the heart of this tour. During our week in Mexico City, we’ll do one of Eat Mexico’s famous Street Food Tours, and we’ll wander the gourmet San Juan Market in a visit that combines homestyle Mexican food with delicious local sweets. Another day, we’ll head to the countryside to cut our own cactus paddles (drizzled with homemade salsa!), and we’ll engage in a cooking class in a private local villa.
When you’re not exploring off-the-beaten-path street stands and markets, you’ll visit some of the area’s renowned cultural sites, such as the Teotihuacán Pyramids, the Anthropology Museum, Chapultepec Park, and Frida Kahlo’s Casa Azul museum.
Parents Night Out
We recognize that on any family vacation, adults-only time is important. On this trip we’ll whisk the adults away to a private mezcal tasting and taco tour one evening. Another night, the grown-ups will enjoy dinner one night at Pujol, ranked among the top restaurants in the world. We’ll also connect you with local, trusted babysitters if desired.
During your seven days in Mexico City, both children and adults will have access to Spanish lessons facilitated by Family Go Global guides. Food tours can also be conducted in Spanish, if desired.
